Ms. Newman earned her Juris Doctor in 2023 from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law, where she served as a Staff Writer and Symposium Editor for the Villanova Environmental Law Journal. Ms. Newman’s work was selected for publication in that journal as well as in the Georgia Criminal Law Review. She received her Bachelor of Arts in 2018, with distinction, from The University of Virginia, where she majored in Cognitive Science and minored in Bioethics.
During law school, Ms. Newman was a research assistant for both her internet law and evidence law professors at Villanova Law as well as the Villanova Law Institute to Address Commercial Sexual Exploitation.
After graduating from law school and prior to joining Kagan Stern, Ms. Newman worked on transactional matters at a publishing company, including contracts, cross-functional strategic initiatives, and supporting the management of intellectual property assets while improving operational efficiency.
Ms. Newman is admitted to practice law in Maryland and the District of Columbia. She remains active in the legal community through pro bono service with the D.C. Bar Advice & Referral Clinic as well as a volunteer at local charity organizations.
Ms. Newman loves spending time with her family and friends, painting, running, traveling, reading, and watching new movies.
